I work on the belief that the best leadership brings the best results - and coaching is the most powerful tool that can be employed to deliver those results.

Approach

I coach at board, executive and senior management levels, working with people both one to one and in groups. My clients are drawn from a range of organisations, across a wide spectrum of business sectors, including financial services, telecoms, construction, engineering, banking and food and drink. Having trained with The Success Group and been accredited with The Global Coaching Partnership, my business coaching has covered over 1000 hours and over 50 people. I use an eclectic style of coaching bringing in the tools relevant to the coachee's brief. I am able to deploy a range of tools such as GROW, DREC, psychometrics and many proprietary models. Specialist areas include : Step ups to Board and Senior management; accelerated delivery of business performance; alignment within the top team of behaviours to vision, values and culture; personal and professional life balance; career transition

Philosophy

I work on the belief that best leadership brings best business results. My passion is to help the people and the numbers meet their goals together. It is a privilege to help someone arrive at a breakthrough moment that brings greater success in their business and personal life. Every brief and coachee is of course unique, but people at the top share common challenges in handling people, politics and communication. It's lonely up there and pressures come from every side. My role is to take away the interference that gets in the way of knowing what to do and having the confidence to do it.

Experience

I know what it's like as a practitioner having had a long career in Marketing, Sales, General Management and Board Director. I had over 30 years of commercial experience, working with both UK and multinational companies. As a Managing Director with Nestlé UK I ran many businesses and was involved in change management programs, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and business turnarounds. This experience - and the experience of coaching top executives since 2000 - is invaluable in my coaching on one to one and group basis.

Having launched into Portfolio Life over 10 years ago, my list has included Non-Executive Directorships, working with Cranfield University, working with charity…and writing and speaking about the transition from full employment! I love to help others explore this liberating journey and have co-authored two books on the subject, most recently, "Building A Portfolio Career" (published 2009), which is a practical guide for the journey of becoming a Portfolio Professional. I'm pleased to say hundreds have been helped to make the transition through the Portfolio Package coaching programme, articles, talks and seminars

I am a graduate of Manchester University and the PED Programme of IMD, Lausanne and a member of the Institute of Directors
